Hailey Nguyen is a fourth-year advertising major at the University of Oregon with a passion for film.

Nguyen has many film cameras, but her prized possession is her super eight. “The super eight is one of my favorites. I feel like it revolutionized amateur filmmaking. I had to get my hands on one,” she said.

“I have always loved the photographer Sam Dameshek,” Hailey said. “When I was 15, my cousin let me borrow her Minolta x-700. I became obsessed.” Although Nguyen is an advertising major, Hailey still plans to pursue her love for film in the future. Hopefully, one day publishing a book on film photography.
